Sanya launches training courses for seaplane pilots
Sanya recently began offering the first national training courses for seaplane pilots at the International Seaplanes Center in Sanya Bay.
People can get a license after taking a 30-hour-long flight course, passing a physical test and an exam from the Civil Aviation Administration of China.
Sanya has vigorously promoted the development of the low-altitude tourism industry in recent years, including the construction of training centers for helicopter and seaplane pilots in China.
Approved by the CAAC Central and Southern Regional Administration, the Meiya Air which headquartered in Sanya has constructed its International Seaplanes Center in Sanya Bay. It is the only seaplane port in china that built in direct way to the sea.
There are currently around 10 seaplane pilots in China. Within the opening of China’s low-altitude airspace, there is a short supply of pilots as demand for pilot’s license for flying seaplane is increasing across the country.
The company is also planning to produces personal planes and conduct private pilot training.
