Sanya released a tourism comfort index on July 20th, the first of its kind in the country, for its off-season.

The first-of-its-kind index showed the tourism comfort level in Sanya between April and September was at 80.76 on a 100-point scale.

The measurement was based on three criteria including a natural environmental comfort level (85.28), a social and cultural comfort level (73.39) and a tourism service comfort level (80.51).

The release of the index is expected to help tourists understand Sanya’s tourism environment and provide information for the local government to make scientific policies to improve the tourism comfort level.
