Typhoon Rammasun causes economic losses of RMB 52.27 mln in Sanya
Typhoon Rammasun, the 9th and strongest typhoon to hit China this year, has caused economic losses of nearly 52.27 million in Sanya, the local disaster management department said on July 19th, 2014
Of the total economic losses, 5.1 million yuan was in direct agricultural economic losses, 42 million in direct transport and fishery economic losses and 5.17 million yuan in direct irrigation losses.
Typhoon Rammasun made landfall in Wengtian Town, Wenchang city of Hainan Province last Friday afternoon, after wreaking severe havoc in the Philippines and leaving at least 21 dead.
