The world’s largest duty-free store, the Sanya Haitang Bay International Shopping Mall, will begin trial operations on September 1st, 2014.

With an investment of 5 billion yuan, the Sanya Haitang Bay International Shopping Mall has a total area of more than 70,000 square meters. The project will combine the duty-free shop with other services, such as hotels, restaurants and entertainment venues, with an aim of creating a top international luxury consumption and experience center.

As the world’s largest duty-free store, which covers an area of 45,000 square meters, the new mall will house high-end international brands and other fashion labels, with pricing standards to match those in duty-free shops in Hong Kong.
