Sanya maintains good overall environmental quality in Q2 of 2014
The overall environmental quality of Sanya, including ambient air, surface water and coastal waters maintained a good rating in the second quarter of 2014, according to an official report released by the Sanya Municipal Bureau of Land and Resources on July 9th.
The number of days with excellent air quality in Sanya reached 89 in the second quarter of 2014, with 97.8% of the monitored days achieving a Grade I score.
The monitored river water quality was rated as in generally good condition and the drinking water sources in the city met the Grade II national surface water quality standard.
In addition, the sea water quality of 7 major coastal tourism sea areas including Haitang Bay, Yalong Bay, Dadonghai, Sanya Bay, Tianyahaijiao, Wuzhizhou Islet and West Islet all reached marine water standard levels
