In recent years, students in China have become fond of travelling after graduation as a special way to celebrate the completion of their studies.

According to a survey conducted in 31 cities nationwide by Ctrip.com, Sanya is ranked third among the top three hot tourist destinations for graduates this year, following Yunnan and Xiamen.

Europe, Japan and Thailand were voted as the top three destinations for overseas travel for graduates, according to the report.

Sanya has become a favorite leisure tourism city for graduates’ summer holidays, often receiving the largest number of bookings for graduation holidays in the June graduation season.

Aside from Sanya, some other tourist cities that boast a long cultural history and many famous universities, such as Beijing and Hangzhou, are also very popular destinations for graduation travel.
