Sanya has recently released new rules to regulate marine tourism operations, an area that has been out of order for a long time.

The marine activities under the regulation include diving, sea angling, motorboating, parasailing, paragliding, seaplanes and boat touring.

The regulation makes it clear that owners who want to use their vessels for tourism purposes must have the approval of the local marine bureau.

Besides, those ships operating without licenses, registration and names and who are found to call at Sanya ports will be seized and the captains face certain fines.

In order to effectively protect the interests of tourists and maintain the order of the sector, a joint effective system led by the Sanya Ocean and Fishery Bureau has been set up to manage the marine tourism complaints.

Local residents and tourists who discover violations in the marine tourism sector can file a complaint by calling 12345
