A large-scale renovation work on Chunguang Road in Sanya is underway, and the road is expected to be totally open to traffic at the end of this year.

The project involves a stretch of 3,115 meters from Fenghuang Road to Yingbin Road. The renovation is divided into two sections, section A and B, which stretch a length of 1,285 meters and 1,830 meters, respectively, involving a widening of each to 40 meters and 30 meters, respectively.

The road upgrade also includes a bridge, landscaping, lighting and drainage engineering modifications.

Upon its completion, Chunguang Road will greatly alleviate the traffic pressure on Sanya’s Yingbin Road and Yuya Road during the peak tourism season.
