Yucai Town
 
According to the Sanya Urban Planning Bureau, Sanya plans to invest 180 million yuan in building Yucai Town into a Li and Miao ethnic scenery town.

As a typical town of the Li & Miao minority, Yucai Town has a rich Li & Miao cultural background. In 2014, Yucai Town was listed as a model cultural town by the government. A special fund has been allocated to infrastructure projects for the town, including landscape greening, environmental protection and street renovations.

It will be built into a display area of Li & Miao culture and will be an ecological tourism town featuring pastoral scenery, folk customs and resorts by 2020. The total planning area is 254.9 hectares in size.

To complement the diversity of tourism attractions in Yucai Town, the regional government has shown great concern in the field of tourism and cultural development.

The new development will not only alter the region’s economy, but is expected to provide great job opportunities to improve local farmers’ livelihood.
