Haitang Bay, Sanya
 
The expected increase in visitors to Haitang Bay has gone noticed by hoteliers across the world as every inch of land is being developed to help make a first-class resort along the 21-kilometer stretch of beautiful sandy beach.

There will be 32 star-rated hotels including 2 seven-star hotels in Haitang Bay in just a few short years. According to reports, another 4 or so hotels are also expected to be opened in the area by the end of this year.

The massive construction project in the coastal Sanya city is a prime example of what’s happening throughout Hainan. Many large international hotel companies have recently announced development plans in neighboring cities including Wenchang, Lingshui and Ledong.

According to the Hainan government, a total of 16 five-star hotels will open their doors this year. As of now, these hotels have received an investment of 21.7 billion yuan, accounting for 85% of the total figure.
