This April, 21 travel agents were rewarded with nearly 500,000 yuan by the Haitang Bay Management Committee for their active promotion of Haitang Bay.

Since 2013, the committee unveiled a reward policy to entice travel agents to develop and promote tours of Haitang Bay. Since then, a total of 38 travel agents have been awarded with a total of nearly 2 million yuan.

Driven by the increasing sales and their confidence in the Bay’s prosperous future, the committee is continuing its reward policy and the total cash for rewards this year has risen to 3 million yuan, of which 1.5 million yuan will be awarded for the promotion of specifically wedding and MICE tourism.

In April, hotels and scenic spots in Haitang Bay received a total of 187,464 tourists, among which 75,896 were recorded at the first-line sea view hotels, a year-on-year increase of 67%. And in April, the overall hotel occupancy rate increased 24% over the previous year.
