The Sanya government recently launched a citywide energy-saving program to subsidize the use of energy-efficient lamps this year in a bid to reduce electricity consumption.

This means that urban and rural residents can get 5 Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFL) for free at fixed public sites in the city by showing their ID cards. The promotion activity will last till June 27th.

Over the past few years, great efforts have been made to encourage and promote the use of highly-efficient energy-saving lighting products in industrial locations, public facilities and households.

In addition, all the energy-saving lamps subsidized by government are printed with special words. Any circulation or reselling of the lamps is strictly forbidden.
