The 2014 14th World Bridge Series Championships will be held in Sanya from 10th to 25th October.

The event is hosted by the Chinese Contract Bridge Association in cooperation with Sanya City and Beijing Lianzhong Co., Ltd.

The tournament features pairs and teams in four categories: Open, Women’s, Senior’s and Mixed. All of the world championships are open in the sense that entrants do not represent geographic zones or nations and are allowed to team up freely.

The first World Bridge Series Championships was held in 1962 and since then it has been held every four years. It is the first time that World Bridge Series Championships have been held in a city outside Europe or America.

The venues will be the Sanya MGM Grand Hotel and the Sheraton Sanya Resort.
