According to the Sanya Tourism Development Commission, Sanya’s 6 different themed tourism documentaries shot by a BBC TV crew have been aired on BBC channels.

This year, these documentaries have been set to broadcast on the BBC World News channel in the European and Asian Regions as well as BBC.com from February to May as well as September and October.

These documentaries, which highlight the city’s fantastic attributes which make it a wonderful tropical tourist resort, includes 6 themes including family tours, children’s entertainment, wedding tours, tours for older aged people, business travel tours and adventure tours.

To raise Sanya’s international tourist image and promote it in overseas markets, the Sanya tourism association worked with the BBC to produce the best tourism documentary it could, in order to inspire would-be tourists to discover the unique tropical paradise of Sanya.
