Sanya’s tourism market is still booming despite the traditional tourist off-season in June, as many star-rated hotels are launching various promotional offers to attract more tourists to visit the tropical coastal city.

According to the sales departments of several star-rated hotels in Haitang Bay, the average hotel occupancy level is still relatively high in the offseason with some even reaching 50% occupancy. Hotels in this area mostly earn from room sales to family tourists and honeymooners.

Besides, the cheaper air ticket fares and hotel room rates have also contributed to the booming tourism business in Sanya. Flights from other major cities including Tianjin, Shanghai and Beijing to Sanya are being offered at great discounts.

In order to stimulate Sanya’s hotel market, travel agencies and hotels are promoting their competitive theme vacation products to meet the tourists’ needs through suitable accommodations, activities and deals.
