A nationwide selection of residents’ sense of happiness in Chinese cities in 2015 was released recently, Haikou ranked 3rd among the list of the top 10 happiest cities in the country.
 
The top 10 cities on the list were Hefei, Taiyuan, Haikou, Changsha, Shijiazhuang, Tai’an, Liaoyang, Lianyungang, Hengshui and Huangshan.
 
This year’s public survey was conducted by China Central Television.
 
The evaluating standard includes various aspects of people’s lives, such as pace of life, environment, housing, education and transportation, living convenience, culture and entertainment, architectural aesthetics, safety, and more.
