Sanya launches 4-month-long crackdown on motorcycle safety
According to Sanya Traffic Police Office, to better secure motorcycle orders in Sanya, 4-month-long regulating actions have been carried out by traffic police starting from this May.
The focus points of this action are to punish those who ride motorcycles without wearing helmets, those who without a driving license or license plate, or drive with a fake driving license and those who overload motorbike with too many passengers.
As of now, the police has handled 2,560 cases of motorcycle traffic violations and seized about 967 illegal motorcycles, and 7 riders have been detained for driving without motorcycle licenses.
