Sanya is accelerating the construction of its culture industry. The city introduced 40 large-scale projects by the end of 2013.

Currently, a total of 30 projects have settled down in Sanya, involving an investment of 95.968 billion yuan.

Among them, 14 cultural projects have been listed as provincial cultural projects, accounting for 44% of the total investment figure. By 2015, the added value of the culture industry will account for more than 7.8% of the regional GDP.

These projects cover cultural tourism, conferences and exhibitions, entertainment performances, themed studios, animation and leisure rehabilitation.
