Haikou Airport to handle 3.35 million passengers during CNY holiday
Haikou Meilan Airport is expected to handle 3.35 million passengers and 23,131 aircraft takeoffs and landings during the upcoming Spring Festival travel rush. The average daily passenger volume will surpass 83,900.
The airport predicts that a pre-festival peak will occur a week before Chinese New Year Eve, while festival peak day for arrival will fall on February 23rd with 603 aircraft movements daily.

Haikou Airport estimates that about 4,131 aircraft takeoffs and landings will be achieved during the 7-day-long Spring Festival holiday, with more than 590 flights daily during the peak period.
Haikou Airport will usher in more routes during this Spring Festival travel season. Domestic flights from major cities, including Changchun, Harbin, Zhuhai and Xi’an to Haikou, as well as international flights like the Singapore-Haikou and Hong Kong-Haikou routes, will be intensified during the period.
