Haikou East-Sanya high-speed railway resumes operation after breakdown
A bullet train on the Haikou East-Sanya high-speed railway resumed operation after a 2.5 hour breakdown, local railway authorities said Sunday.
The Sanya-bound D7309 train broke down at about 10:28 am in the section between Yalong Bay Station and Lingshui Station.
The train departed again at about 1:44 pm after rush repair.
By 12:20 pm on that day, a total of 6 bullet trains on the railway line were delayed as a result of the breakdown.
An initial investigation into the accident indicated that equipment failure was to blame for the breakdown, according to the railway authorities.
