According to Sanya's meteorological departments, 3 to 4 tropical cyclones could hit Sanya during the upcoming flood season this year.

The first tropical cyclone to hit the city will probably occur in early July, and the final one will hit in mid-October.

This year's rainy season is expected to start from late May and total annual precipitation is forecasted to be less than the previous year.

The average monthly temperature in May, June and July in the city is expected to be higher than those of last year.

Besides, the tropical cyclones, rainstorms and flash floods will be less than the annual average.
