Sanya’s First Mini Marathon 2014 was launched near Xincheng Road in Sanya Bay on May 1st.

The tournament attracted more than 700 amateur runners, including some foreigners across the city.

The mini marathon, consisting of 5-km and 10-km races, was divided into different age groups: senior, middle-age, junior and children. Among the participants, the oldest was almost 80 years old and the youngest was 3 years old

The start and finish lines were set at Luneng Square in Sanya Bay, where all the participants were able to enjoy the scenery of the best road sections in the city.

The race was organized by the Sanya Marathon Association as part of a series of activities around the city used to promote national fitness.
