The Sanya Transport Bureau is launching a citywide crackdown on illegal tourist vehicles to further regulate Sanya’s tourism market. All illegal tourist vehicles will be severely dealt with during the May Day holiday.

To ensure smooth travels during the holiday, the bureau has tightened inspections on public places like hotels, scenic spots, the railway station and the airport where illegal tour bus lines used to provide tours for tourists.

The government also offers cash rewards for those who report illegal tourist cars operating across the city.

Cash rewards of 1,000 yuan will be given to residents who call 88667803 and give information about illegal tourist vehicles that lead to suspension and fines.

Without qualified certificates, these illegal travel agents often hire drivers who are poorly trained to take tourists directly to destinations, causing potential risk to the safety of tourists.
