Sanya tightens safety inspection of tourist boats
Sanya marine authority has launched a thorough safety inspection to prevent severe inland waterway traffic accidents after the tragic ferry sinking accident brought death toll to 150 in South Korea.
Since 22nd April, Sanya is conducting checks on tourism ships in the wake of the accident. Tourism boats companies have been ordered to carry out checks for hidden dangers.
"Sanya has seen a growing number of tourism ship accidents in recent years, and although no fatalities were reported, they should be taken as a wake-up call for marine security”, said local marine officials
Sanya marine departments have called for ship owners to conduct fully legal tourism operations and promote the healthy and sustainable development of marine tourism.
