Sanya to limit power use as electricity shortages increase
Sanya’s power grid companies will have to periodically cut off power supplies to some areas this summer due to a sharp rise in demand and a shortage in electricity supplies during the recent high-temperature days.
Currently, the electricity shortage in Sanya has reached 20,000 kilowatts, mainly concentrated in the Haipo District, Fenghuang Road, and Jiefang 3rd and 4th Roads.
In order to ensure the stable operation of the power network, the Power Dispatch and Communication Center will switch on peak load shifting management systems for some areas from midnight to the next morning.
Sanya's power grid companies are currently making great efforts to strengthen the monitoring and forecasting of increases in electricity demand and working to develop better power distribution plans to avoid power shortages this summer.
