The third Sinan Cup Regatta 2014 set sail in Yalong Bay on April 19, with over 40 sailing teams confirmed to participate in the event.

The competition is based on the core concept of “carrying forward the Sinan spirit and reviving China’s sailing legend” and all of teams have been divided into different groups according to their IRC coefficient, which ensures a fair contest.

On April 19th, all the participating teams competed in two days of track races in Yalong Bay and 12 teams with top rankings will be qualified for the rally races on the Xisha Islands.

On the following day, the 12 competing teams will depart from Yalong Bay to Quanfu Island of Sansha City to sail along the world’s oldest voyage route and will return back to Sanya on April 24th.
