Air quality in Sanya recorded as ‘fairly good’ in Q1 of 2014
The Sanya Municipal Bureau of Land and Resources released their 2014 Report on the environmental situation in Sanya on April 15th. According to the report, the quality of air and water was recorded as “fairly good” in the first quarter of 2014.
The report showed 95.6% of days in the first quarter had good air quality. During this period, the air quality index for 71.1% of the days, 64 days, reached grade I national air quality standards.
Besides, the water quality of the urban centralized drinking water sources in 4 towns achieved a water standard Level II, which meets regulatory requirements.
In addition, the sea water quality of 7 major coastal tourism sea areas including Haitang Bay, Yalong Bay, Dadonghai, Sanya Bay, Tianyahaijiao, Wuzhizhou Islet and West Islet all reached marine water standard levels
