The Sanya Phoenix Airport has implemented a new flight schedule for the summer and autumn seasons, which started March 30 and will last until October 25, 2014.

During the 210-day summer-autumn season, the new schedule will trigger carriers to add more flights to Sanya, with an increase of 4.2% from the same period last year, and the number of flights at the airport are expected to reach 50,456 during the period.

A total of 19 airlines will operate flights to Sanya during the new season, among which 11 have made route changes and 8 are remaining the same as last year.

During the new season, China Southern Airlines will offer its newly-added flights to Sanya including Sanya-Yazhou-Harbin, Sanya-Zhuhai-Zhengzhou and Sanya-Yuncheng-Harbin. Beijing Capital Airlines will launch direct flights between Sanya and Xiamen and will continue its popular routes during the winter-spring season, including Sanya-Yichang-Beijing and Sanya-Fuzhou-Changchun.

Besides, Hainan Airlines will intensify its flights from Beijing, Guiyang and Shenzhen to Sanya.
