3rd Asia Golf Tourism Convention (AGTC) Sanya Night held at Yalong Bay

Jointly hosted by IAGTO, the Sanya Tourism Development Commission and Marriott Yalong Bay Resort & Spa, nearly 100 guests from golf tour operators from home and abroad and travel agents attended the event as well as attendees from scenic spots around Sanya.

Xv Zhenling, on behalf of the Sanya Tourism Development Commission, made a detailed introduction to the attendees at the gathering about the convenient transportation and comprehensive golf facilities in Sanya as well as the great opportunities for further golf development in the city.

In recent years, Sanya has been making great efforts to boost its golf tourism industry. The government has organized a series of seasonal promotional activities to expand itself in overseas markets such as Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Korea and Thailand to help the entire golf industry grow on a healthy path.

In addition to the above-mentioned reasons, the regional surrounding luxury hotels and 13 quality golf courses make Sanya a preferred golf destination for golfers around the world.

Besides, more and more domestic and international golf events have been organized specifically every year in the region, which has gained Sanya a great deal of attention in the golf world. These big names events include the Sanya Ladies’ Open and the Volvo China Open International Qualifying.
