Trusted placards for Sanya’s 3 business operators revoked over price-cheating
The Sanya Tourism Association recently has announced on the official website that it has decided to cancel price trusted certifications of 3 local business operators after launching investigations and confirming the tourists’ complaints over their price-cheating practices.
The 3 business operators have been found to have deceived customers with misleading price tags. Local authorities said they will show zero-tolerance to those black sheep in the tourism market.
Since the Sanya government launched a recognition system of trustworthy businesses in 2012, more than 500 tourism-related businesses including restaurants, seafood stalls and scenic spots have qualified for the title so far.
According to the authorities, the accredited system aims to help to establish rules designed encourage the restaurant owners and managers to perfect and improve the quality of services rendered to local residents and tourists.
