Sanya has witnessed the rapid development of its high-end fashion tourism products such as low-altitude flight sightseeing tours.

Mo Qun, the GM of Meiya Air said they chose to develop general-purpose aviation in Sanya due to its abundant sea island resources and unique tropical resources. The company currently owns two Cessna 208 seaplanes.

At present, routes launched by Meiya Air include low-flying trips above Sanya’s major scenic spots, Xisha Islands and Wanning City.

The company also plans to expand its low-altitude flight service to other island cities including Dongfang, Wenchang and Sansha as well as outside of the island such as Macao, Zhuhai, Zhanjiang and Beihai.

Xisha Islands has huge prospects for low-altitude airspace tourism. “We have conducted several test flights and we are trying to get to where we can land at the airport on Yongxing Island,” said Mo Qun.
