Sanya police launch two-month traffic crackdown

A two-month crackdown on traffic violations around Sanya city is being launched from this month to 31st April, to better secure the transport orders for the upcoming big events like WTTC Global Summit and the Boao Forum for Asia.
The citywide traffic crackdown will especially focus on illegal cab operations, truck overloading and a series of other serious traffic illegal behaviors including speeding and drunk driving.
Furthermore, the traffic police will focus on illegal on-road parking and driving in the wrong direction as well as driving without a license.
On March 8th, law enforcement officers dealt with 81 cases of illegal on-road parking and 23 vehicles violations without driving licenses or license plates
