Themed as “Forever Tropical Sanya”, Sanya's exhibition booth was set up at the Internationale Tourismus Börse in Berlin on March 6th 2014.

Sanya, as a tourism destination, has an independent pavilion at the event to promote itself. Starting in 2007, Sanya has set up their own booth at the fair for 8 consecutive years.

To lure more international tourists, Hainan has launched a visa-free entry policy for German tourists, who are allowed to stay in Hainan without a visa for 21 days. In 2013, Sanya welcomed a total of 8,300 German tourists, an increase of 7.6% from the previous year.

Covering a display area of 160,000 square meters, the annual fair has attracted over 10,000 exhibitors from more than 189 countries worldwide.

As the world's leading travel trade fair, the 48th ITB Berlin kicked off at the Berlin Exhibition Center on March 5, and will run until March 9.
