In order to ensure the trees’ survival, the Municipal Bureau of Parks and Gardens of Sanya has dispatched a professional team to inflict minimal damage on the trees during the transplantation.

But local arborists said some trees and shrubs that are not suitable for relocation may get irrevocably damaged in the process.

Construction on the road expansion will start soon and some trees along Xinfeng Street and Heping Street are being relocated. Those trees will be transplanted to nearby greenery areas, namely the the Egret Park area.
