Sanya takes measures to regulate tour boats in Yalong Bay
In response to the public’s concern over the illegal tour boats being operated at the Qingmei Port of Yalong Bay, the Sanya government has worked out regulations to manage these tour boats in the region.
In order to improve safety and better regulate the order of boats, the local authorities will strengthen supervision on boat registrations.
The regulation makes it clear that owners who want to use their vessels for tourism purposes must have the approval of the local marine bureau.
To protect the mangrove reserve in the region, the government will designate a temporary space for these boats to berth. Any vessels without legal permission will be restricted from using the port.
