Low-altitude flight sightseeing becomes new tourism trend in Sanya
Since Hainan was chosen as the pilot region for low-altitude airspace management reform in 2011, the low-altitude flight tourism market has enjoyed rapid growth and has become a new trend on the island.
There are two aviation companies being operated in Sanya, Meiya Air and Yalong General Aviation Co., offering a series of low-altitude flight tourism activities including helicopter and seaplane flights.
Being a brand new tourism product, the low-altitude sightseeing tours were popular among tourists during this year’s Spring Festival holiday.
During the holiday, more than 80 low-altitude flights daily were made, carrying over 1,600 tourists. Among them, the seaplane sightseeing tours welcomed 288 passengers.
