In February, the real state market in Sanya saw moderate rises both in prices and transaction volume, according to the data released by Sofun.com.

In Sanya, the transaction volume in February was 1,395 apartments, an increase of 22.44% from the previous month. The average housing price stood at 23,049 yuan per sqm, a month-on-month increase of 17.49%.

In February, 12 cities and counties achieved transactions including Sanya, Wenchang, Haikou, Qionghai, Wanning, Linghsui, Baoting, Ding’an, Danzhou, Baisha and Ledong.

The total housing transaction volume in Hainan reached 4,597 units, down 30.29% from the previous month. The average price of a property on the island was 16,512 yuan per sqm, an increase of 46.31% from January.
