As the 2014 Spring Festival travel rush came to an end on February 24, Sanya Phoenix Int’l Airport received about 2.33 million passengers and 14,502 flights during the process, up 13.31% and 6.68% respectively compared to last Spring Festival.

 

During the 40-day holiday travel peak, the period from Jan.16 to Feb 24, the airport handled 363 flights and 58,400 passengers daily. Popular flight routes to Sanya were mainly from Beijing and Guangzhou.

 

In the golden week, Sanya airport saw its travel peak on 4th February as the passenger volume hit 64,000 that day.

 

Besides, Sanya Railway Station welcomed its travel rush between February 4th and 14th and transported 19,000 passengers in total during the period, which set a new record high this year.
