Big names lined up for 2014 WTTC Global Summit in Sanya in April
The World Travel & Tourism Council’s 2014 Global Summit, which is set to be held on April 23rd–25th in Sanya Haitang Bay, will welcome a number of big name guests including Kofi Annan, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Yao Ming and economist Dame DeAnne Julius.
As a hosting venue, Sanya can take this opportunity to showcase its wealth of ecological resources, its rich cultural environment, its advanced tourist facilities and its high level of services to further promote its development as an international destination.
WTTC has been working closely with the Hainan Tourism Development Commission on a study to assess the province’s tourism performance, as well as to forecast its travel and tourism development and investment potential over the next 6 years.
Speaking of Hainan, WTTC president and chief executive officer David Scowsill said local government should not only work to create a good investment environment but also develop new tourist products to lure tourists all year round. At the same time, the government should strengthen cooperation with airlines companies and organize regular promotions in overseas markets.
