Organized by the Sanya Municipal Government and undertaken by the Sanya Sports Bureau of Culture, Radio & Television Publications, the first 2014 Sino-South Korea Taekwondo Communication match was held in Sanya on 23rd February.

Over 100 players participated in the games. The competition was divided into different age groups: children, youth, junior and adult.

“With geographic advantages between Sanya and South Korea, the event is such a good exchange and cooperation platform for martial arts," said Zhang Keguo, Chairman of Sanya Taekwondo Association.

"With games attracting Taekwondo lovers, a new opportunity for Sino-South Korea sports communication will be created. I hope this event can be held on a regular basis and attract more Taekwondo lovers from both sides," said the chairman of the Cheju Island Taekwondo Association.
