Sanya is planning to build 2 more cross-river bridges this year—Yueming Bridge and Yuejin Bridge, in order to ease traffic jams following the ever-increasing amount of vehicles in the city.

The Yueming Bridge, linking Hexi Road and Chuanbei Road, will be 330 meters long and 33 meters wide with dual two-lane runways. The feasibility study for the project has been completed and is the bridge is expected to be completed by the end of 2015.

The Yuejin Bridge, linking the intersection of Hexi Road and Yuejin Road to Hedong Road, will be 330 meters in length and 30.6 meters in width with dual six-lane runways. Upon its completion, the bridge will have an hourly capacity of 2,700 vehicles.

Besides, the government will start reconstruction work on the Ronggen Bridge. The new bridge is designed to be 80 meters long and 30 meters wide
