Hotel occupancy rates in Sanya are still enjoying high levels after the Chinese New Year Golden Week which came to an end on February 6.

According to the Sanya Holiday Office, the average hotel occupancy rate reached 81.95% during the Spring Festival.

This year, hotels in Sanya mostly earned profit from room sales to individual or family tourists.

“We saw an obvious increase in the family tour consumption rates in our hotel compared with the same period last year. The daily number of children staying at the hotel was even nearly 700.”

Many hotels also launched special packages for families including offering various family interactive activities and free breakfasts during their stay.

As an emerging tourist resort, Haitang Bay has seen relatively high hotel occupancy rates this holiday and the 11 regional hotels have reported over 80% occupancy.
