According to statistics from the Sofun data monitoring center, Sanya topped other Hainan cities and counties in home transaction volume in 2014 Chinese New Year Golden Week holiday (31st Jan – 6th Feb).

The total housing transaction volume in Hainan reached 309 units, down 22.36% compared to same period last year. Of that number, 254 units were sold in Sanya, followed by Wenchang, with 42 units sold during the period.

Besides, the data also showed that the commercial residential property market experienced a slight decline year-on-year in both transaction areas and transaction prices.

Transactions of commercial residential properties plummeted 34.81% to 269,919 square meters. Average transaction prices plunged 22.97% to 24,159 yuan per square meter.
