A long queue at the entrance of Sanya’s CDF Duty-free Store

The Sanya Duty-free Store has become a must-visit ‘tourist spot’ in Sanya during the Chinese New Year holiday. According to a report by Xinhuanet, the store welcomed nearly 40,000 visitors and sales from last Sunday and Monday reached 50 million yuan total.

Sanya’s duty-free store also offered a series of discounts and prize drawings, which caused quite a shopping frenzy among tourists during the Chinese New Year holiday. There were very long queues outside the three entrances, and some customers said they had to wait for more than one hour to enter the store.

The counters for perfume and cosmetics were packed with tourists as usual, and the newly introduced brands such as Benefit, Shu Uemura, Givenchy, Coach, Ralph Lauren and Ernest Borel provided many choices for the tourists.
