Sanya’s 8 major scenic spots receive 167,300 tourists as of February 3
Dadonghai, one of the popular beaches in Sanya is seeing influx of tourists during CNY holidays.
As one of the most popular destinations for holidaymakers in China, Sanya has seen a large influx of tourists during the 2014 Spring Festival holiday. As of February 3rd, the 8 major scenic spots of the city have received a total of 167,300 tourists.
Major scenic spots in Sanya including Tianyahaijiao Scenic Spot, Wuzhizhou Island, West Island, Daxiaodongtian, Yalong Bay Tropical Rainforest Park, Yanoda Tropical Rainforest and Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone were crowded with tourists in recent days.
Meanwhile, statistics showed that the average hotel occupancy rate across the city reached 90.53%, a decline of 1.4% compared over the same period last year.
Further, Sanya Duty-free Shop received 19,700 visitors, up 3.83% compared to the pre-holiday period, with daily turnover and daily sales revenues also increasing by 7.69% to 22.61 million yuan.
