Sanya’s GDP reached RMB 37.349 billion in 2013, a year-on-year increase of 10.1%, according to statistics released by Sanya Statistics Bureau.

In 2013, the city’s public revenue reached 6.75 billion yuan, an increase of 16.6%. The tax revenue reached 5.868 billion yuan, up 14.6% and accounting for 86.9% of the public revenue, and the non-tax revenue reached 882 million yuan, an increase of 32.6%.

Sanya received 12.284 million overnight tourists in 2013, up 11.5% from 2012. The total tourism revenue reached 23.333 billion yuan, up 21.4% from 2012. The passenger throughput of Sanya Phoenix International Airport reached 12.82 million, a year-on-year increase of 13.4%.
