Sanya is once again embracing the heavy flow of tourists for the ongoing seven-day Spring Festival holiday thanks to a campaign by local authorities to regulate tourism prices and services.

Among the initiatives are transport management by the city's transport bureau to cope with the flow of tourists over the seven days. A taxi and public bus fleet have been put on the road to offer more convenience for tourist and residents.

Regular checks were made at the city's major food streets and all the seafood restaurants and fruit stands were urged to comply with the city's pricing regulations.

To ease the parking problems during the holidays, 2,100 emergency parking spaces have been added at the major scenic spots including Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Rainforest Park, Nanshan Tourism Zone, Daxiaodongtian Scenic Spot and Wuzhizhou to meet the greater demand of vehicles.

During the holiday, the government has also set up a 24-hour hotline for tourism inquiries and complaints.
