Work on the relocation project of the Nepal Pavilion of Shanghai Expo 2010 at the Nanshan Tourism Zone has been completed and it is expected to start its trial run during the Spring Festival holiday.

Before the expo ended in late 2010, the Nanshan scenic spot company was looking for an imposing building which could illustrate the origin of Buddhist Culture in the area and the Nepal Pavilion was seen as the perfect choice.

The Nepal Pavilion, covering a land area of 3,600 sqm, shows the cultural and artistic aspect of Buddhism and will provide a world-class platform for Buddhist cultural exchange and research.
