Construction on an 8-km-long slow-traffic lane stretching from Haiyue Square to Haihong Square is now underway in Sanya Bay.

In addition to the renovation project of the greenbelt in Sanya Bay, the slow-traffic sightseeing lane is part of the city’s efforts to advocate low-carbon travel by using green transportation.

It is the first slow-traffic route in Sanya and the whole project is expected to be completed ahead of the 2014 Spring Festival.

Upon its completion, the slow-traffic lane will not only promote low-carbon environment protection among tourists, but allow tourists to appreciate the city from more angles, in harmony with its environment.
