Sanya regulates BBQ stands in Sanya Bay for beach protection
Sanya’s law enforcement department recently launched an inspection of the barbecue stands business at night on the beach along Sanya Bay. The stands have recently been polluting the local environment.
Statistics showed that about 120 barbecue stands are located on the beach to the west of Haihong Square in Sanya Bay. Most of the vendors are run by local residents of Haipo Village in Phoenix Town. Relevant departments routinely shut down the stands, but the owners always show up again the next day.
At night, many tourists and residents crowd the beach and enjoy the barbecue, but trash is left behind all over the beach the next day, severely impairing the beauty of the beach and causing a burden to the cleaning staff.
To protect the beach and the local environment, during the Chinese New Year holiday Sanya’s relevant departments will continue to conduct regular inspections along the beach in Sanya Bay.
